Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Safely store all stock and notify management when inventory is at minimum order quantity
  • Follow all recipes, processes, and procedures outlined in the recipe book for consistent and high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Deliver superior food quality, service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Greet customers with a smile and welcoming attitude, explain the menu and sauces, suggest toppings and sauces for an exceptional customer experience
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer queries
  • Upsell customers on extra toppings, larger meals, specialty tortillas, and daily specials
  • Regularly check food quality, ensuring proper storage of prepared and cooked food
  • Assist with catering events both in-house and externally, especially during peak periods such as Carnival, July/August vacation, etc.
  • Comply with all sanitation and safety regulations by following cleaning roster for all prep areas, all equipment, all chillers and freezers, all bathrooms, floors, walls, windows, tables, chairs, serving areas, bins, fixtures and fittings
  • Uphold and defend the restaurant’s solid reputation at work, externally, and on social media
  • Strictly adhere to food and beverage portion sizes and cost controls
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Cook, Kitchen Assistant, Waiter, or similar role
  • Proven customer service experience as a server in the food industry
  • Food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Strong teamwork and people skills


  • Works closely with the Manager on Duty, General Manager, shift supervisors, customer service and operations staff
  • Interacts regularly with customers, brand ambassadors, and agencies


  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and methods
  • Ability to use key kitchen equipment, e.g. stove tops, meat slicers, etc.
  • Ability to bone meat, wash, peel and cut vegetables, and prepare a wide range of ingredients
  • Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards regarding food preparation and storage
  • Ability to handle a number of tasks simultaneously
