Job Description | - Install, troubleshoot, and repair facility fixtures, equipment, and electronic controls and systems, including motor control centers, schematics, power supplies, and automation.
- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions using appropriate test instruments and circuit diagrams.
- Maintains and repairs electrical/electronic/electromechanical systems.
- Fabricates and/or installs electrical/ electronic/ electromechanical systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems/components, and how they operate
- Exercise good judgement, balance multiple priorities and provide technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed.
- Complete projects with minimal guidance showing a proactive attitude to design and installations
- Troubleshoot mechanical devices, dismantle/examine devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, repair or replace defective parts
- Set-up and operate shop machinery.
- Use hand tools and pneumatic tools to modify/repair parts.
- Install new or repair/modify hydraulic or pneumatic equipment
- Improve reliability and uptime of equipment and proactively approach equipment issues with a preventive maintenance mentality.
- Operate forklift and Sky jack
- Supports all food safety initiatives i.e. BRC, HACCP, GMPs, Allergens
- Research supplies, parts, and machines needed to complete work orders
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of parts
- Perform/document work orders and preventative maintenance tasks using CMMS system.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including gear boxes, motors, air compressors, pumps, AC/DC drive troubleshooting, Complex machine controls and instrumentation, complex welding/brazing, pneumatics, carpentry.
- Knowledge of power distribution, PLC programming, Allen-Bradley PLC’s, voltages, speed controls, AC and DC drives
