Currently, we are looking for an Intermediate to Senior Maintenance Worker to in Vancouver for a retail setting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
The purpose of this position is to perform day to day maintenance and customer service duties required to keep the property safe and presentable for customers, staff and tenants
It is expected that the successful candidate would have a strong knowledge of all aspects of the building after a period of time, including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance practices.
Complete hands-on tasks such as cleaning, plumbing, painting, HVAC repairs and electrical work.
Complete thorough daily inspections of the property.
Be responsible for on-call duties for your home location.
Take ownership of the property by providing an excellent customer service within the company, and it's customers.
To be qualified for this position you will have:
5+ years of commercial/retail maintenance or facility maintenance experience is required.
A highly organized individual who has an eye for detail and accuracy is required.
Maintenance experience in building/facilities with a strong knowledge of finishes, such as carpet, tile, etc is required.
A history of trades would be considered an asset, such as framer, finishing carpenter, plumber, electrician or HVAC tradesperson.
Relationship Skills –
Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships.
Professional interaction with colleagues and customers is required.
This is a retail client, and the locations have customers visiting on a daily basis, although this role does not interact with the customer base directly, such interaction will inevitability happen and you must have a presentable, "customer service" focused personality.
Organizational/Multi-Task Skills –
Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities and adapt to new ideas and constant changes.
Ability to work with little supervision, while maintaining a strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical and maintenance practices.
