General Description

Our client is a family business dedicated to providing the highest quality products, service, and installations throughout Alberta.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, confident, possesses the ability and desire to work independently, and truly understands what it takes to make the customers happy. You enjoy making frequent road trips by visiting and servicing customers and can attend trade shows and U.S. sales meetings. Out of town travel would be approximately 3-5 days per month.

Position Summary:

  • Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue.
  • Strengthen relationships and achieve growth with key accounts through regular contact, receiving calls, and providing informative updates.
  • Becoming an expert for all company product lines and a go-to resource for clients
  • Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s) while meeting with new or existing clients.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows (up to 4 per year, typically in spring).
  • Analyze competitor’s activities, market trends, and develop reactive strategies.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating catalogue / advertising materials and product samples.
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications
  • 3 – 5 years sales experience
  • An understanding of architectural drawings / blue prints, details, specifications, the construction
    process and job site conditions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage in
    open dialogue and build rapport.
  • Have excellent presentation skills and are comfortable using technology for presentation
    and communication purposes.
  • Architectural and/or construction industry experience is preferred 
  • Willing and ability to travel both domestic & internationally.
  • Must maintain a valid passport and driver’s license in good standing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
  • Strong attention to detail.
