General Description

We are looking for an experienced Information Management Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and sustainment of our client’s information management  programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of document and data management principles, information security, and compliance standards. They will have a proven ability to engage with business users and improve the way information works for them.  They will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing strategies to optimize the flow of information throughout the organization. 

This role is based in Canada. Applicants must have Permanent Resident status or hold an open work permit in Canada.   • Develop and implement governance tools for information management across an organization
  • Design and implement governance frameworks to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Be knowledgeable in data privacy and security regulations that may apply to the organization and be able to establish compliance framework – i.e. FOIP, ATIP, GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance information management practices in a way that is fit-for-purpose and in alignment with business requirements
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical information assets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for managing and sharing information
  • Lead training and education initiatives to improve employee awareness and understanding of information management policies and practices
  • Monitor and analyze information management metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in information management and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems by applying business practical information management solutions
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support adoption and implementation of information management solutions
  • Managing the priorities of initiatives based on organizational/business needs and requirements

Education& Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information sciences, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information management or a related field
  • 5 + years experience working in Energy/Oil and Gas industry.
  • 3 + years experience working in a customer focused service delivery model.

  • Strong understanding of data/information management principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including creating and delivering detailed reports and giving presentations – verbal and written.
  • Confidence and maturity to communicate with management, senior leadership and executive teams. 
  • High degree of emotional intelligence to effectively work with increasingly diverse organziational cutures and teams. 
  • Ability to engage and enroll stakeholders in iniatives at all levels of organizations.
  • Proven track record of successful information management initiatives and projects.
  • Proven ability to perform as an expert to deliver results for the client. Efficient with meeting timelines, driving deliverables and achieving the business outcome.
  • Industry knowledge of records and information management related to lifecycle of oil and gas in upstream, midstream and downstream organizations.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge and application of analysis techniques including process development, user journey mapping, gap analysis, business scenarios, business requirements identification and gatherings, and data analysis. 
  • Ability to lead teams with a sound work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and exceptional client service.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills – an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous duties and organize workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Highly self-motivated and direct. Prefers working in a high performing, team-oriented, dynamic and evolving consulting-focused environment.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions within a defined scope.
  • Competency in Microsoft/M365 Online applications including SharePoint, OneDrive, TEAMS, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A track record of following through on commitments and history of leading and supporting successful projects.
